My Story
I’m a self-taught photographer who picked up my first camera in 2019. What started as simple walks through parks around Richmond with my one-year-old daughter quickly turned into something more. I would often come across beautiful scenes and, like most people, reach for my phone to capture the moment. But the images never quite reflected what I saw or felt in that instant. I wanted more — more detail, more depth, more intention. So I decided to invest in a camera and learn the craft.
My first camera, a Canon Rebel T3i, came from Facebook Marketplace with two kit lenses and a lot of potential. When I brought it home, I challenged myself to shoot and post one image every day for 30 days. That challenge pushed me to explore everything from portraits to flat lays, but I quickly found myself drawn to landscapes — especially capturing the Richmond skyline at sunrise and sunset. Thirty days turned into sixty, and when that ended, I simply kept going.
In 2023, I took the leap into full-time photography. Today, I showcase my work at art shows throughout Richmond, across Virginia, and beyond. I love connecting with people, sharing my process, and talking about the stories behind each image. Much of my fine art work centers around water — whether it’s the reflection in a quiet puddle or the smooth motion of a waterfall. Water offers endless creative possibilities and constantly challenges me to see differently.
In addition to fine art, I am a dedicated Real Estate Photographer, providing a complete media solution for Realtors. From HDR photography and listing videos to 2D floor plans and immersive 3D tours, I strive to create visuals that help homes stand out in a competitive market. Real estate photography gives my work another layer of purpose — knowing that my images are often the first impression a potential buyer sees. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing a property has gone under contract and knowing I played a small part in helping it sell.
The third pillar of my photography is motorsports. I’ve been a racing fan since I was 10 years old, so combining that passion with photography was a natural fit. I primarily shoot track events where drivers bring their own cars to push them to the limit. From high-end supercars to uniquely built “Frankenstein” machines pieced together over time, every vehicle has a story. And those stories — especially the unconventional builds — are often my favorites to capture.
Photography started as a way to better capture the beauty I saw in everyday moments. Today, it’s both my career and my creative outlet — and I’m grateful every day that I get to do what I love.
